Definition:
Rhinoplasty is surgery that aims to reshape the nose shape. With this procedure you can increase or decrease the size of it, change the shape of the tip, bridge or the size of the nostrils. Also used in cases of people with respiratory problems from birth defects or deformities caused by shock or trauma.

How is the procedure?
Rhinoplasty is the reshaping of the framework of bone and cartilage that give support to the nose, increasing or decreasing their size. These modifications are carried out through incisions (small cuts) inside it, which often leave no visible scars.

After surgery, the doctor puts a splint on the dorsum of the nose and plugs into the nostrils, which the patient must be at least 48 hours.

Contraindications: This surgery should not be performed in patients with:

4. Appearance of small veins in the skin, although usually transient

6. Nasal septum perforation

Care After Surgery: Your doctor will advise the use of pain medications (analgesics) to ease the discomfort, which are usually mild and last a few days. It is advisable to rest.

Due to the operation, bruising or swelling may occur in the eye area, this is normal and should not be alarmed.
