Once again, plastic surgeons raise their voice to demand specialty practice by non-medical or non-completion of the graduate to perform these procedures.
According to Linda Corner, secretary of the Venezuelan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the last three years have increased the number of patients to physical problems due to badly done by non-specialists.

Given the increase in cases, Rincon is concerned that in the field of plastic surgery there are individuals who practice this area without the proper preparation. “It appears that patients are led by the advice of hairdressers, magazines, programs for cheaper, for offers of payment for parts, then fall into the hands of the least mentioned,” he said.
For the specialist, there are certain requirements that a person should require the physician when looking for a specialist as “check that the person is truly a health professional with the title of surgeon, delivered by a recognized university and whether it is a foreign physician title must be validated by a Venezuelan university and the Medical College. ”
In addition, the course owner must have a diploma certifying that she studied the specialty of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

But despite rising casualties and bad practices that these involve a crime, the perpetrators are not punished and Corner points out that “the only thing we can do the real experts is to educate the people about these procedures and about things it must require the person to whom you chose to perform plastic surgery. ”
However, Rincon invites people attacked by intruders to take the case to the medical society that brings together these professionals to guide them as to the legal procedure to be performed so that the crime does not go unpunished.
In order to collect cases of intrusion and make statistics about the problem, there will be a Scientific Conference of Plastic Surgery to be carried across the country next July.
“This event will analyze the problem where people who have died. Doctors are concerned that this discredits the specialty.”
